First, Happy Birthday to Hara! We hope you’ve had a wonderful day! And thanks to everyone who wished the Beast a happy birthday. She enjoyed the many emails, comments and text messages.
Second, tonight you get a 2 for 1! In addition to my standard nightly blog, you get a bonus posting by the Beast. So make sure to read all the way to the end and leave a comment for her if you’d liked what you read and want to read more.
I called the Lebanon, PA ABA BMX track and left a message letting them know we would be in the Lebanon area this Friday. We hope to stop there now that the NBL and ABA are becoming USA BMX. I’m hoping we hear back from them and that the weather improves. It would be nice to meet some ABA riders and share with their community what we are doing.
And now the Beast’s Blog …
I don’t believe I’ve followed through with my plan to write once a week-or-so (far from it!), so I’m giving another little update now. This is, of course, Miss (That’s doctor to you!) Beast, with her marvelous report from the road.
As you all very well know, yesterday was my birthday!!! Weeeeee… Now I have another excuse to moan and groan; I’m a Teenager, this is Normal! I’ve been asked sooooo many times by reporters, journalists, and “fans” (Am I famous yet???? Please?) , “What do you think of this trip, what are you looking forward to?” My standard answer was, “It’s alright, challenging but rewarding, blah blah blah, I’m looking forward to my birthday, Ohio Dreams, Family, And antique stores”
(If I was asked this question on a normal day, when at home before/after the trip, my answer would most likely be, “Antique stores… Maybe cookies if someone were so kind enough to give me one.”
Of course, if I were asked at this very moment, my answer would be, “HERSHEY PARK HERSHEY PARK HERSHEY PARK…. OHIO DREAMS… COOKIE, ANTIQUE STORE” Since my birthday is over, and Ohio Dreams and Cookies are ALWAYS hovering in the back of my mind.
Of course, my Big B-day had none of the suggestions I threw out (Hello Kitty, Artemis Fowl, Sherlock Holmes), but it was pretty awesome that I got to see a pair of undies from the eighteen-nundies (get it? Undies, 18-nundies…. I mean the 19th century. >.>), and found a vintage slip which very much works as a sundress… as long as I’m not wearing a polka-dot glow-in-the-dark bra. I even got to see my Beloved Stonewall… I see him everyday; he’s the background on my phone.
Of course, if it were my choice I’d be celebrating in a tearoom with a bunch of my Loli friends, who came because that were sent adorable lacy Mint/lavender ‘save the date’ birthday announcements. But you have to make do.
Well, that’s the end of my blog, which means you won’t hear from me for a few more weeks/months, unless the writing fever hits again.
Love to all!
