Earlier today, I followed through on a promise to put my friend, Penny, on Wikipedia. I was surprised how easy it was and how unintimidated I was by the techie side of it. From her on out, she's known as "Pen-tertainment".
Recently, the Beast casually mentioned that she'd like to try blogging, too. So, this evening's blog is brought to you by our lovely daughter. Read and enjoy her introduction to blogging:
Hello! This is the Beast (you can call me 'beast', 'bea', or even 'b', if you feel so lazy).
Since I, also, shall be bloggins, I thought I might give you a brief description of my writings:
Complain, groan a bit, oh, yay, it's my birthday!!! I'm hot, and sweaty, and really tired.
I think that's a pretty comprehensive description of what you'll be reading. The days riding 66 miles may even qualify to the 'whining' stage!
But first, I need to tell you a little about me.
I'm (almost) 13 years old, I've got dirty-ish blonde hair, and blue eyes. With a flair for victorian fashion, an aptitude for BMX, and a british-ness about me, I am certainly not like the average(Twilight-obsessed, short shorts-loving, and UGG (ugh!!!)-boot wearing) teenager. However, I suppose this ride could be good for me. I may even start fitting into that black polka-dot dress!!! Of course, I'd rather be riding, say, Europe, but you have to make do. Maybe the scenery isn't as great, but hey! I'll be in New York for my 13th brithday*!!
I think I can accurately describe the absolute agony of spending 66 miles on a bike, and therefore can let readers (like you. Yes, I see you. For goodness' sakes, do brush your hair!) have a realistic experience, instead of "The pasta was kind of mushy, but edible. And it only took 15 minutes!".
So, readers, sit back and relax (lucky!) as I ride (and write) the nation.
